How DailyVeg keeps vegetables and fruits fresh

Most grocery delivery models maintain static, cold-storage inventory for days. DailyVeg operates differently. We source produce only after customer checkout, eliminating stale holding.

Why cold storage is not the best solution

Keeping fresh vegetables and fruits in closed cold rooms for multiple days keeps them look chemically intact, but it quickly degrades their natural taste, texture, and vitamin levels. Leafy greens lose their moisture, and fruits can turn soft.

DailyVeg is designed around demand-driven freshness. We do not maintain inventory buffers. By closing app ordering during the day, we calculate exactly what is required and source it directly from partners.

Our step-by-step freshness cycle

  • Sourcing based on orders: Sourcing team buys produce tonight based on actual orders collected during the day.
  • Overnight logistics: Sourced goods arrive at our sorting center during night hours.
  • Morning sorting: Warehouse staff hand-sorts items to remove bruised items.
  • Doorstep dispatch: Orders are packed in ventilated crates and delivered immediately.

Strict quality checks

Each pack is sorted under light to filter out mold, soft spots, or broken skins. Sourcing items based on actual order volume lets us focus our efforts on high-standard sorting rather than managing old stock.

Quick answers

Do you deliver stocked items?

No. DailyVeg sources fresh vegetables and fruits nightly after orders are collected. We do not carry old stock.

What happens if sourced items fail quality checks?

If an item does not meet quality requirements during morning checks, we remove it and issue a refund rather than shipping bad produce.
